Welcome to the Emerald City School District.  We have designed this website to be a window to our school district. Whether this is the 1st, 10th or 100th time you’ve visited our website, we hope you will learn more about us each time.

Maintenance and Transportation
Maintaining good operations and transporting students is our business!
Maintaining good operations and transporting students is our business!

Except for long-term construction or extensive roofing, personnel of the Emerald City Maintenance Department assume the responsibility for all maintenance-related jobs throughout the district: custodial (including all cleaning jobs, large and small), grounds keeping, construction, painting, welding, air conditioning and plumbing upkeep, and all electrical repair (which means keeping every motor, fan, switch, and outlet in the district working).

The Transportation Department is responsible for transporting approximately 9,000 students to the schools of Emerald City. These students board over 160 buses each day. During the 175 days that transportation is provided, the buses travel over two million miles. It is the mission of the Emerald City Board of Education Transportation Department in accordance with federal, state and local regulations to provide safe and efficient transportation to all students. This includes transportation to and from school and all school related activities
